How to get paid for Online Surveys?

I'm saving up to about 500$ outside of what I normally get. i heard that you can get paid to take surveys online? Is that actually something I can do or is it a scam? And how is it done? And do I have to pay? Do you have any other ideas?
You can get paid, if you join the legit ones. Problem is that the number of survey scams far outnumber the legit ones. I am not sure why you mentioned saving up to $500, but if it is because you are planning to pay one of them to join, please do not!
All legit surveys are free. They will never ask you to pay or buy anything, so avoid those that do.
First, you need to register yourself with the survey company. That means giving them your email address as a way to contact you, and your house address, as a way to confirm that you really are a legit human and as a way of sending you your check. Each time a new survey that fits your profile appears, they will send it to you by email. If you wish to do that survey, just fill it out, if not just leave it alone.
I do have one tip for you though. Create a new mail and use it only for the surveys. Just in case you accidently registered with the phony ones,they will send you spam, and that way your main email is not affected.
I can recommend the website that I use below if you are interested. It contains a list of surveys that is arranges according to countries. The whole website is free and they do give lots of good info and tips as well, so it might be worth a look.

There is a site that you can join that has a database of companies that do surveys. You are not going to make a lot of money with it.
As a matter of fact, some of the top companies don't pay but a couple of dollars and the surveys take anywhere from 15-45 minutes.

Paid surveys are a great way to generate some extra cash in you spare time. But you still need to find the legitimate ones. With all the scams on the internet you don’t want to waste you time or money. I understand I was there a while ago when I started looking for paid surveys on the internet.

At theguruseye they have 300+ survey sites you can join for free along with video reviews of these sites. They also have free tutorials and free tools that speed up the process of taking surveys. It’s a nice little guide site for anyone who is starting to think about paid surveys.

There are hundreds of survey sites available, but you have to avoid the ones that are scams. Don't waste your time on any sites that require you to sign up for "special offers" before completing surveys. Also you should NEVER have to provide credit card information or make any payments to sign up to complete surveys. You can make about $10 or $20 a day if you constantly check your emails and join a few sites. Don't join any that want money down, they are usually scams and tend to sell your email address. It's hard to earn over $200 a month, but possible. Join a few of the sites, you can always unsubscribe. Make sure they have the Better Business Bureau symbol and don't give any SS# or credit card number out. Good Luck.

I have been doing online surveys for a while now, just as a bit of an extra bit of spending money towards my holiday. You can earn a fare amount from them, just make you sure you join all the different survey sites available then that will maximize the number of surveys you get asked to participate in everyday.

Yes you can get paid taking online surveys. Just remember do not pay anybody, since it's always free, legitimate survey companies never charge you a fee. You just need to signed up with those survey sites, and they will send you surveys and if you qualify and complete surveys they will pay you (cash, gift cards etc..)
I am a member of some survey sites like nfo mysurvey, lighspeed and pinecone research. They are all legit and have all paid me, either by check or Paypal. I startedd doing paid surveys forVindale Research and have had a lot of surveys and they give between $2-$15 per survey. They pay out when ever you decide to cash in your account. You could easily have $500.00 in 1-2 months. There are no paid survey sites that you are going to make a ton of money at. here is a link to them!
