just wondering.why do online paid surveys expect you to choose an offer before they pay you?

paid online surveys.
There is no such thing as a "free lunch", and there is no such thing as "free" on the net, either. They make money by you "paying" for something from their survey. Then they have you. And, usually you have to "buy" more than one item to collect.

It's a scam. The fact that you are asking this question in the 'credit' category indicates to me that these people are asking for your credit info. I would avoid them at all costs.
Many of these companies-these scam artists- use confusion tactics to get people to sign up for one thing, then offering them several other things and before you know it, you've given your personal info to several companies without realizing it.

The secret about it is that they get paid when you sign up for their offers. Its called incentive marketing. You get paid if you sign up because they will get paid first when you do sign up.
For example, one company might pay the survey site $10 for every sign up they get. Now what they do is get you to sign up so they could get the $10 and they pay you $5 or $1 or whatever depending on how greedy or generous the survey site is.

I think because the advertisers offer them a certain payout if you complete one of the offers. The website ends up making more money off of you than you make from the website for completing the survey. It seems like it's just a way to get you to do the survey without you realizing you end up losing money. However, there are a lot of survey sites out there that pay you for doing surveys without having to complete an offer. I know of this site that lists survey websites, if you wanted to try it out.
